New Jersey Home Inspector Continuing Education
Licensed New Jersey home inspectors are required to complete a minimum of 40 hours of professional development for each biennial licensing period. Up to 10 units of continuing education can be obtained online and excess course hours carryover to the next licensing period as long as the inspector has at least 30 other continuing education units, and any of the PHII courses taken below are completed within 6 months of the end of the licensing period.

  • Structural Pest Inspection - 4 continuing education units.
  • Thermal Inspection and Insulation Remediation - 11 continuing education units


New York Home Inspector Licensing Division
PHII's classroom course and field training has been approved for all five of the required modules, approval code numbers P-0141 - P-0145 for the 100 hours of pre-license education and 40 hours of unpaid inspection experience by the New York State Department of State Division of Licensing Services.
